Seven new BoardWalk Governance Fellows are off to Harvard

Continuing our investment in the sector we serve, we are pleased to announce seven new recipients of our BoardWalk Governance Fellowships to Harvard. With this group, we will have funded 30 such fellowships over the past five years.
This year's BoardWalk Governance Fellows:
- Robyn Degnan, Vice Chair, St. Jude's Recovery Center, Atlanta, GA.
- Aimee DiCicco, member of the board, Susan G. Komen for the Cure, Dallas, TX.
- Ted Florence, Vice Chair of the Board, AID Atlanta, Atlanta, GA.
- Gerald Greenwell, Chair of the Board, Community Foundation of Louisville, Louisville, KY.
- Bonnie Harris, Chair of both Agape Community Center and Camp Twin Lakes, Atlanta, GA.
- Ellen Sacchi, Chair, Quality Care for Children, Atlanta, GA.
- Yolanda Sullivan, Board President, YWCA of Central Alabama, Birmingham, AL.

Recent placements on the BoardWalk
We are pleased to have advised the following clients on these senior appointments, announced since our last smorgasBoard:
On January 1st, Ed Munster will become CEO of the YMCA of Metro Atlanta, succeeding retiring CEO Fred Bradley.
Ed brings 33 years of successful YMCA leadership to the position, including the past 23 years as the Metro Atlanta Y's Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer. He was selected after a national search that produced compelling candidates from across the country and from both inside and outside the Y movement.
A graduate of Loyola University, Ed grew up in New Orleans and has been a member of the YMCA since age 11. "Y staff kept me focused on school, helped me to set goals and pointed me in the right direction," he says. "While in the teen leader program, I chose the YMCA as a career."Read the Y's announcement »
Deborah Ryan, an experienced fundraising and communications professional, has been named Vice President of Philanthropy at The Atlanta Women's Foundation. Deborah reports to Barbara Mosacchio, the new CEO whom BoardWalk also recruited to AWF.
Deborah brings more than 16 years of experience in nonprofit management and administration, most recently as Director of Development at Oglethorpe University. Prior to Oglethorpe, she was Senior Director of Development and Communications at Atlanta Contemporary Art Center.
A Georgia native, Deborah earned her Bachelor of Arts in History (with a minor in Business) from Auburn University. |
