Steve Stirling, an executive with more than 20 years of experience in management and marketing at Johnson & Johnson, Ameritrade, World Vision and other major corporations and nonprofits, has been named Executive Vice President of External Relations at Heifer International. Most recently, Stirling was Vice President of Marketing and Communications at Univera Life Sciences of Olympia, Wash., a maker of nutritional and active-botanical health supplements. Stirling earned a bachelor's degree in agricultural economics at Cornell University and an MBA in marketing and finance at Northwestern University's Kellogg Graduate School of Management, during which time he also studied international business in Paris, France. Barbara J. Mosacchio will become Chief Executive Officer of The Atlanta Women's Foundation (AWF) in November.
Mosacchio currently serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the YWCA of Metropolitan Dallas. She joined the YWCA in November 2001 and led the organization through a strategic transformation to a singular focus on self-sufficiency for women through childcare, parenting skills, financial literacy and health services. She also increased unrestricted revenue by 250% and grant funding by 300%.
Prior to joining the YWCA, Mosacchio had an extensive career in guiding results-driven programs in both the non-profit and for-profit sectors as a senior manager with the Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE), MMS Incentives, and Chicago-based Second Harvest National Food Bank Network.
