Five questions
every search
committee should ask (of its candidates)

Last month in this space, we offered "Five questions every search committee should ask (of itself),"  an exercise we recommend every search committee undertake at the outset of any major executive search.  This month, we focus on the more traditional issue of questions addressed to candidates.

The first question could not be more basic:  "Why are you here?"

Announcing the Fifth Annual
BoardWalk Governance Fellowships
at Harvard Business School
December 3-6, 2008

Once again, we are pleased to support excellence in nonprofit board leadership by offering fellowships that allow a select group Harvard Shieldof nonprofit trustees to attend a compelling executive education course at Harvard Business School, "Governing for Nonprofit Excellence."

Past recipients have ranged from the board chair of a major international nonprofit with operations and people in many countries to an emerging board leader with a charity whose focus was strictly local.  All recipients share a personal commitment to service, personal growth and excellence in nonprofit governance.

Our eligibility requirements are quite straightforward.  For more information on the course itself or our process for selecting BoardWalk Fellows, please click here.
