 CEO Atlanta, GA Sheltering Arms is Georgia's oldest nonprofit early childhood education program, and has been nationally recognized for the success of its school readiness program. Founded by Atlanta volunteers in 1888, Sheltering Arms now annually serves more than 3,600 children, ages six weeks to five years old, and their families, in 16 centers in six metro Atlanta counties. Sheltering Arms is a tax-exempt 501(c)3 organization.

 Mandate: CEO Portland, OR The Northwest Health Foundation (NWHF) advances, supports and promotes the health of the people of Oregon and southwest Washington. Many of the organizations NWHF supports address the root causes of health through community-driven, “upstream” solutions. At the same time, NWHF is also actively engaged in advocating for sound policies that protect health.

 Mandate: Chief Business Officer Montgomery, AL The Southern Poverty Law Center (SPLC) is a giant in its field. Formed in 1971 with the goal of making the promise of the civil rights movement a reality, SPLC has in the decades since developed an international reputation for cutting-edge advocacy, litigation and education in its commitment to fight hate, teach tolerance and seek justice for the most vulnerable members of our society.
The Chief Business Officer, a new role, will be the CEO's key resource on the business fucntions of the organization--finance, administration, donor services, HR and security (a major role in an organization fighting hate and bias)--but the main impact may come in the CBO's ability to help with integration and collaboration of functions, processes and implementation across a staff of over 200 serving a national and international constituency from five regional offices.

 Mandate: Executive Director Knoxville, TN. The Aslan Foundation is the philanthropic legacy of the late Knoxville, Tennessee attorney Lindsay Young. Aslan is a community-minded, family-run foundation that has invested its resources to preserve hundreds of acres of historic Civil War landmarks and nature in the lush mountain regions of South Knoxville, Tennessee.

 Mandate: President and CEO Tampa, FL The Community Foundation of Tampa Bay - known locally as the "Foundation" - is a trusted administrator of permanent endowment funds created by a broad spectrum of individuals, families, corporations, and private foundations. The Foundation is honored to be celebrating 20 years of connecting donors who care with causes that matter.

 President Petersburg, Virginia The Cameron Foundation is a private foundation established to promote and provide support for programs and activities that benefit the residents of the City of Petersburg, Virginia and the surrounding area, as well as other areas historically served by the hospital now known as Southside Regional Medical Center.
The primary jurisdictions the Foundation benefits are the cities of Petersburg, Colonial Heights and Hopewell, the counties of Dinwiddie, Prince George and Sussex, and the portion of the county of Chesterfield lying south of Route 10.

 Mandate: Senior Vice President, Development Stamford, CT AmeriCares is a global nonprofit that delivers urgent, lifesaving disaster assistance and aid to people in need. Since 1982, the organization has provided $10.5 billion in critical medicines, medical supplies and humanitarian aid to people in 164 countries, across the United States and the world.

 Mandate: VP, Development and Marketing Norwalk, CT The Fairfield County Community Foundation promotes philanthropy to build and sustain a vital and prosperous community where all have the opportunity to participate and thrive. As the region’s center of philanthropy, we provide personalized philanthropic advisory services and financial stewardship to donors and partners; visionary leadership and strategic initiatives to address key regional issues; and grants, counsel and leadership training to local nonprofits.

 Mandate: VP, Resource Development Atlanta, GA Founded in 1995 on the belief that everyone deserves a chance to succeed, the East Lake Foundation collaborates with public and private organizations to offer Atlanta's East Lake residents opportunities to build a better future through education for children and adults, affordable housing, job readiness and connections with the broader community. Other cities seeking to transform their neighborhoods are turning to the Foundation for best practices.
